Background
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, I've been working in the creative arts for about 17 years.
In 1993, I began working in live-action film production in and around Chicago, and later in San Francisco. However, with the advent of computer graphics, I developed a taste for 3D modeling and found that I really had a passion for it.
A few years later, I landed my first job in video games at Electronic Arts in Orlando, Florida. I met and worked with a great group of people who I really learned a lot from, about both game art and the industry in general. Over the next 12 years, I worked at several other game studios, including Visual Concepts, EA Redwood Shores, and 2K Sports. In 2008, I returned to film, this time working as a character rigger at ImageMovers Digital in Novato, CA. While there, I've learned a whole new set of skills, and feel ready to tackle most any challenge that comes my way. I love creating 3D characters and bringing them to life through the mediums of games and film.
As for my specialties, I consider myself a creative character artist with a technical backbone. I really enjoy the process of next-gen character creation: hi-res modeling, mesh and UV layout, and texture creation. However, I've also worked as a rigger and technical artist on many occasions, so I have a good understanding of creating assets which will deform well and work in other parts of a pipeline.
I look forward to whatever new opportunity comes my way.
